Rod,

I continue to b e amazed at your spirit of cooperation and team building!  I knew you haf built a Super thread, but with our business constantly changing and perhaps some substantive inputs that might make it even better... I was just a little bit concerned.

Quite clearly, I recognized this would be a 'living and breathing' document that really needed to be managed.  It would take a true SuperStar effort to handle this.  Otherwise, our entire community would suffer if we had links to this thread.

You've exceeded my expectations!  I no longer have any doubt in the management of this critical thread.  Please, understand, my caution did not reside in you, it was founded solely on this huge responsibility you have assumed.

If I were Tissa, I would do this.  I'd free you of all other posts.  I would base your continued Super Sponsorship solely on managing this thread!  Period dot!  If you make other posts fine!  If you have time.  But, this thread needs to be managed.  That's just my opinion.  I'd like to know how others feel.

I don't like going back and checking my sources.  That's additional work.  If I can trust a source, I'll rely on that source.  Your documentation is amazing.  So, let me put this another way.  My primary website is a website about APS.  I've basically structured it consistent with the 3-Steps, then beyond.  I'd like to keep that structure.  I would like to substantive posts that support what I am saying.  Your thread allows me to do that.  If you go away, or develop other priorities for your own personal business, my site suffers.

You provide the documentation services that we all need... to add and build content on our websites.  That is an extremely valuable service.  That's why I'm recommending that you are simply held to managing this thread.

Thanks for the Voodoo that You Do!

Rick

I completely agree on this Rick. This thread serves as an APS manual for new and old affiliates alike and more improvements surely be implemented soon.

Hi Skylab

Welcome here at the forum smile

Do you prefer another hosting other than GDI? Only GDI, Hostgator and Lunarpages are the allowed hosting for step 2. If your preferred hosting is either Hostgator or Lunarpages and you want to change your GDI hosting, do this:

On your APS back office, click on the step 2 box and check on the box at the left side of your GDI domain, then click on the delete button. Now PM Trish here and submit to her your new hosting info if that happens to be hostgator or lunarpages.

Hi, my name is Kelli and I am a newbie. I also signed on to be a super sponsor in order to get the added bonuses that Tissa had to offer. But I also thought..."How can I be a super sponsor when I really do not know much myself?" Then I decided that others will be starting out, like myself, and I can relay what I have learned so far in order to help someone else. I have been researching and trying to learn the "tricks of the trade" for hours upon hours and felt like I was on brain overload. Then I was searching through the forum and found Rod's wonderful post  "APS Business Complete Beginner's Guide - Updated Feb. 9".

I wish I would have found this sooner! Now that I have found it, I will reference it and let others know about it also.

Great job! There was definitely a lot of time and effort put forth!!! Thanks for that.

Hi Kelli,

Welcome aboard. Yes, the Super Sponsor Program is a great benefit. Just take your time by learning the various features of the APS business. And then share that knowledge with others. People who become Super Sponsors become one by not even seeking the position out. It just happens as a consequence of their willingness to genuinely help others succeed. It's what Tissa calls "paying it forward". People succeed in life and business by helping others to do the same. Again, welcome. Hope to see you a lot here on the forum.

Hi owak,

How are you? Sorry if your question is left unnoticed and unanswered. I apologize.

And sorry again but is this what you mean - that everytime you register at hostgator, your subscription with them thru your paypal account is always rejected? If that is so, do you have a verified paypal account and is your paypal have a funding source in order for your payment or subscription to go through? Whenever you make a subscription especially if its a recurring subscription, paypal requires you to have an attached credit/debit card or a bank account where the payment will be drawn when its due.

If i dont get your question right, please repost and kindly make it clear.

Thanks owak. Again sorry for the delay in reply. And Welcome to the forum smile

I have signed up with Hostgator to host my people search engine and also signed up for their affiliate program. I also want to sign up with GDI so that I earn income from their affiliate program.  I'm not sure I understand the reason for signing up with 2 website hosts though.  GDI during the signup process ask for you to chose a domain name.  Why do I need another domain name?  Should that domain name be used for the ACME referral link for my account.  HELP!

Re: APS Business Complete Beginner's Guide - Updated Aug.14

Hi t1500

Great question!

You are not required to subscribed to two hosting for your APS engine. But since you have already subscribed for a Hostgator hosting and you want to earn residual income from GDI, it will cost you 2 hosting accounts subscriptions. In order to earn GDI Residual Income, you have to subscribed for a domain name which includes hosting. If GDI will be the hosting that you use for your step 2, you dont have to subscribed to Hostgator hosting. To earn from hostgator income streams, you only need to signup as an affiliate which is for free. But you must complete your step 3 in order to unlock Hostgator income stream for you to earn. Also, it unlocks GDI, GVO, APS Referral Fees, Jeremy Shoemaker, Wealthy Affiliate and AffilloRaMa. Just dont forget to enter your affiliate IDs for the income streams that you have joined. To do this, login to your APS back office, click on Account Setting drop down menu, select Add/Edit IDs and enter your IDs on the appropriate income streams boxes and click Update IDs button below.

If you have susbcribed to GDI, you can switch your step 2 hosting from Hostgator to GDI. And you don't have to subscribed again for a hostgator hosting. Only, hostgator allows you for a multiple subdomain and you can also host a WordPress Blog which is most often preferred due to its cool features.

Most of your referral links are hosted under Acme domain. Its only the Pre-Sell Page that is hosted on your own domain as it is not allowed to be promoted via PPC. The Presell Page is the most preferred referral link due to its high conversion rate.

If you have other questions you can post a new topic by selecting the proper forum on the Index Page and click post new topic. In this way, your question easily get notice by members and you get quick replies smile

Rod

hi t1500,

Just to get one thing clear, GDI is a company that provides .Ws domain names and also hosting for $10 plus an income opportunity. In order to be an affiliate with GDI you will need to have at least one domain with GDI.

The domain name is not needed to be inserted in your APS back office for GDI. you will be provided with an affiliate link which is usually your username.

Now on choosing a domain name, its really entirely up to you. But I suggest a .ws Domain as if you choose a domain other than a .ws you will not be eligible for the 7 days free trial and also you will be charged immediately  $10 for annual maintenance fee.
You can point your domain to hostgator, that way you can have a wordpress blog/site installed via Fantastico deluxe
to your website.

Hope this answers your question

all i can tell you is that teh porgram got really bad for growing GDI so your gona have to tell people that join in the auto responder to wait 2 days and then join GDI to grow your GDI downline.  I remember before they had the option to choose GDI for the domain without having to pay anything and now you have to pay 30/month.

Hi and welcome.

If you complete step 3 also (free for 30days) then you will be able to build your GDI downline if you joined that in step 2.

Everyone can earn money with APS. The only think what is important is to learn this systems and learn how to promote. You are the only one that can promote your business. If you don't spread your links on the web, then no one will know about your business.

If you want the paid advertising method then please read post in here

A free method is also great and can be found here

Owak2006,

I hope you have resolved your issue with HostGator by now.

Otherwise, I would just like to share that HostGator also cancelled my account and refunded my payment to Paypal because i wasn't able to submit or forward to them required documentation.  Perhaps this is your case.

As I am a non-US resident, they require that a submit electronically or by snail mail a photo ID issued by the government confirming my name, place of residence, etc.  It is a requirement as an anti-fraud measure.

Once I fulfilled that requirement, i successfully opened an account with them.

Hope that helps you,

Eden

Hi qlydmnq2,

Welcome to the APS Forum!  Nice to meet you, I am also a kababayan.

You have joined an excellent program with a very high level of integrity.  Rod is one of  the "never tiring, always willing to lend a hand" Super Sponsors here. You will find the help that you need here.

This business really works, but I must say upfront that it takes work to see the returns rolling in. Since you have already completed Step 2, I must let you know that Step 3 is free for the first 30 days but to avail that you have to set up an auto billing with Paypal for the subsequent billing of only 29.95/month thereafter.  For those based in the US and some other countries, they can go via the TrialPay route (which is free), but I don't think that is applicable for Filipinos based in the Philippines.

That's it. all the other fees after that are optional but recommended.

Hope that helps you somehow smile

Hi I'm sorry for the late reply, I didn't check this post recently.
Back to your question

Yes you can sign up for both Affiliate links GDI and Hostgator. Just to clarfiy, when you purchase a domain name, that domain name is only used to host your People Search Engine, your referral links will not be affected in anyway, they are not related smile

The reason for hosting your People Search Engine on your very own domain is because you can promote it and brand it under your name. For example if your Domain name is "Free-People-Searches" when anyone visit that site hey will be brought to your search engine and when they make a search and purchases any product, you will earn commissions.

There are APS members here who promote their search engine actively and earn commisions from it.

The commissions you can earn from your Search engine is explained here
http://acme-people-search-forum.com/top … explained/

This really confuses me because i am also a Non US resident but was not required to submit any documentations. I have received PM's from a few members regarding this matter but I was never able to give a solid answer, because this documentation proof is required also for some US residents. I am not sure when or why it these documentations are required but from what I read submitting this documentations will get your  account approved.

Really? I guess it's probably either at random or perhaps they have flagged some areas wherein in you come from a certain geographic region, they will require documentation.  But now, that you have brought it up - I'm not so sure. It's just my theory.

Also, I did not realize they cancelled my first account until 2 days after with a refund. But after complying with their verification requirements, they asked me to open a new account.

I paid via PayPal by the way.  What do you think of my theory?

There is no such thing as a dumb question.  it is much to better to ask and learn than to just keep silent and stay ignorant.

I'm sorry but I don't exactly understand what "text above" you are referring to. sad

To answer your question, Affilorama is one of the income streams available to you as an affiliate if and when you are subscribed to step 3.  It is free but with a paid premium membership.  the paid option is completely OPTIONAL. It has valuable training tools, which we would recommend you spend some time going over so that you get a grasp on how exactly we can maximize our opportunities to earn.
