Topic: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Below is a complete step by step summary of exactly how to use Acme to build your GDI downline:

1)  Log into your Acme back office.  If you haven't already done so, complete step 3 of the Acme system.  You can do this either by direct subscription or by completing one of the Trial Pay offers (the TrialPay method will get you step 3 for FREE !).  Step 3 is important because it entitles you to use the Acme system to *automatically* build your GDI downline (discussed below).  Also when you complete step 3, $125 will immediately be credited to your payable commissions balance (under the Referrals tab in your Acme account).

2)  If you haven't already joined GDI, click on the "GDI" link at the top of your Acme back office page.  Follow the links there to sign up.  Once you have a GDI account, be sure to enter your GDI username into the Acme system (again, click on the "GDI" link at the top of your Acme account - enter your GDI username in the box at the bottom and click "Grow").

3)  Click the "GDI" link at the top of your Acme account back office.  Go to the bottom of that page and click the link "Tissa's Secret GDI Sign-up Sauce."  Check the "YES" button for Forced GDI hosting and then click the button at the bottom of the page "Update My GDI Sign-up Sauce Ingredients."  Now, as you recruit people into Acme, they will automatically be referred to GDI for their webhosting needs when they complete step 2 (using YOUR GDI sponsor ID)...voila!...automatic GDI downline builder !!

4)  Click on the "Referrals" tab in your Acme back office.  Listed there is an overview of the referral program, and how you get paid.  Under that are a few pre-written pages you can promote to recruit Acme affiliates under you.  I personally recommend the "pre-sell page" (the one with Tissa's house).  Note that the link for the pre-sell page is attached to YOUR domain name, so it is linked to your account. Therefore, when you promote that link, anyone who signs up with Acme and GDI will be placed under YOU in both programs.

5)   Promote and advertise your pre-sell page.  For this you can use pay per click ads, blogs, article marketing, etc. etc.  Visit the Acme forum for tips and techniques on how to promote.

6)  Once you complete the steps above, you will begin getting Acme signups.  As these people complete step 2, they will be automatically signed up with GDI, and placed in your GDI downline.  Remember, GDI will pay you $100 for every 5 referrals you sign up from Monday thru Sunday each week, plus $1 for everyone in your downline each month.  When you get a GDI signup, GDI will send you an e-mail with the person's contact information.  Since you know they came through your Acme system, I recommend that you contact them and share the above tips.  Then, as they begin to grow their GDI downlines they will also be growing YOURS, because those people will be under you as well, on your 2nd level.

Important:  To qualify for GDI’s weekly bonuses, there are a few one-time only stipulations you must meet.  These can be found in your GDI back office.  Once there, click on “Leaderboards”, then click on “Learn about available bonuses”.

Well, that's what I'm doing in a nutshell.  I know this is a lot to digest.  Read through these tips a couple of times and get started slowly. It will begin to make sense.  And as you begin to get signups, your excitement will go through the roof!  At least mine did.

Best wishes for success,

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Lewis,

Thanks for the great post!  That is exactly what we need!

More posts by a successful person in one of our great 8 income streams. Obviously, you have been very successful with GDI. We all know of your reputation.  It's totally outstanding.

Let me ask, what do you do to retain your downline?  Do you work with these people directly?  Do you have any, or a lot of fall-out?  I understand that you might attract enough people to where fall-out is not a big issue.  Ideally, we would all like to complete our 5 x 5 matrix.  Do you have any words of wisdom?

Best Regards,

Rick

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Thank you Rick for the kind words.

As with any network marketing program, attrition is an issue to deal with in GDI.  When it comes down to it, there are just some people that no amount of hand-holding will help, mostly because they don't want to be helped.  Many people are looking for easy money and simply don't want to put in the time and effort to build something worthwhile.

That being said, having the combination of GDI and Acme together really does help in the area of retention.  Acme gives people in GDI a true REASON to keep their GDI accounts active...so they can have a domain name and hosting for their search engines.  As Tissa always stresses, it's best to promote any affiliate program on the basis of its core product, not just the fact that you can make money with it.  So it's very important to keep in contact with your Acme downline and help them along to be successful.  That's how you will by extension keep them enrolled in GDI.

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Thank you this information is very helpful for me especially being noob an all smile

I know Tissa's bonuses help to keep motivated people to stay active and keep active but what if we could also give a bonus or something to our top recruiters of our own downline. I don't know if something like this is already or even could be implemented but it's just a though I was thinking.

GDI does give you the option of placing some or all of your personal new recruits under the people on your first level.  So if you have a star performer on your level 1, or someone you just want to encourage, then new people you personally bring in can be placed under them so they will be in their downline.  Visit your GDI account and click on the "downline" tab on the left side, then "move downline members" to learn more.

Thanks for posting this info Lewis. Lewis is my original sponsor, and I can say that his advice is what got me started in PPC and has kept my Acme business growing (although now I switch back and forth between HostGator and GDI). His information is sound and he is always willing to help when I PM him. Here's to a solid sponsor!

Regarding this... if a referral signs up with GDI based off my APS pre-sell page, how does GDI know it's me?

That's why it's very important that you do 2 things...1) complete step 3 so you can activate "forced" GDI hosting, and 2) make sure your GDI user ID is on file in your Acme back office.  Whenever you get a new Acme recruit, forced hosting will ensure that they're directed to GDI to sign up for hosting, and not one of the other options like Lunar Pages, etc.   Also, since your GDI affiliate ID will be on file in your Acme account, Acme electronically "informs" GDI that YOU will be that person's sponsor, so they will be automatically placed in YOUR GDI downline.

It's truly a great system for promoting GDI because it's simple, effective, and automatic!

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Thanks for the tip.  However, ONE key is missing...the HOW and what is MOST effective for #5:

5)   Promote and advertise your pre-sell page.  For this you can use pay per click ads, blogs, article marketing, etc. etc.  Visit the Acme forum for tips and techniques on how to promote.

PPC doesn't work with the presell page.  Everyone knows Google will that slap the S%^& out of you for even attempting to link to a replicated page!  Anyone can visit the forum searching for tips all day long.  Tell us what works for YOU!  I would much rather know something works for YOU personally, than looking at a list of 1 million ways to advertise.

This type of post, though somewhat useful reminds of the "gurus" that get you to subscribe by giving away ONE tip and when you buy the product you will get a bunch of "general" advertising tips and NEVER what they "really" do.  God forbid they give away a secret...how will they keep making products and fooling people if they give away all the secrets in their first product!

Sorry, if I am being blunt, but that's the info. most newbies are looking for....

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

When Lewis wrote this guide the presell page was working on Google, especially on the content network!  Keep looking my friend, there are a lot of methods detailed on this forum that are making people money.  In case you missed it, I offered the exact same splash page that I'm currently running on Google to anyone who wanted it.  It has a quality score of 7/10 and currently has a conversion rate of 18%.  What more do you want?

See..was that so hard?  That's a good start.  That's exactly what I mean.  For example, when I post something like "I am number ONE on Google for a top keyword", I just don't leave it at that.  It only helps people when you tell them HOW you did it.  And, be as detailed as possible as opposed to "all you have to do is promote."

That's what really frustrates me about internet marketing...WAY too many elements you can't control.

"In case you missed it, I offered the exact same splash page that I'm currently running on Google to anyone who wanted it.  It has a quality score of 7/10 and currently has a conversion rate of 18%.  What more do you want?"

I'll tell you what I want (you asked smile):

1) so for 100 clicks (let's say at .30) = $30.00 you get 18 signups (Step 1 should not be considered a conversion)
2) of 18% what is your conversion rate to Step 2 and 3? <---elements you really can't control (yes, I have emailed my referrals plenty of times, no one replies) no matter what anyone tells me about the "quality" of my referrals (people are just lazy in general)...unless they come right in my face and tell me they want to make money online, they are not targeted to me
3) do you track to make sure you get more than $30 for those 18% conversions?
4) how many stay on?
5) what are options for people that don't want to do PPC (or lost too much money there), got banned, etc.?  I am surprised you haven't been banned with an affiliate splash page with NO content...another thing you can't control

I could go on for days.

By the way, where is that landing page post?  Is there a simple way I can just copy and paste the HTML and then just alter the affiliate links?  Thanks.

One thing I have learned about internet marketing is that you need your own gig to make "real" money.  APS is great for learning, but not enough to grow a huge business.  When you are an affiliate, essentially you are working for an "online" boss AND with WAY unpredictable pay.  Yeah, it's scaleable if you ever find that "goldmine" (like 3% do), but in a lot a ways it's NOT better than a "real" job....that's a whole other discussion altogether.

We should have webinars with successful APS affiliates as speakers and Tissa moderating?  Live would be even better.  I would grill anyone on anything....LOL.

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Hey Ronny, you're asking great questions.  If you click on my user name and select my topics, I think you'll find the answers to just about all of your questions.  I did get banned last December from Google, so I canceled my account and opened a new one.  If you look, there are a lot of simple landing pages w/out content being advertised on sponsored search.  It's the content network that requires your landing page have content I believe.

Re: How to Build your GDI downline with Acme

Hi All:

Thanks Lewis Syring for your advice!

Thanks lsr400 for your contribution. I'll be checking out your stuff!

I'm getting 100 hits a day with several (2 to 6) return visitors but no bites. I'm tweaking splash pages until I get what I'm looking for.

Informative contributions, especially by HowInternetMarketing!!

Peace amid the storm,

Rick

Hi Lewis:

How r u?

I am stuck.

I joined step 1 and 2.

I do not want to pay for Step 3.

You say...

Log into your Acme back office.  If you haven't already done so, complete step 3 of the Acme system.  You can do this either by direct subscription or by completing one of the Trial Pay offers (the TrialPay method will get you step 3 for FREE !).

I am stuck here.

Can you guide me further please?

Best wishes.
