Topic: No More "Poor" Quality Scores or Duplicate Content Penalties!

During the Nov. 25 Webinar at 12 PM EDT, #16 here will be unveiled!

What's most exciting about this new feature is that you'll be able to use your Wordpress blog (or any other Web page) as a landing page for your free people search engine - since you'll be able to embed your search engine's search form into your blog.

Since it's your blog, you'll be able to build a relationship with your visitors and presell your search engine with your unique content, under your own Step 2 domain name.  No more 1/10 PPC Quality Scores, or duplicate content penalties for your SEO efforts!

Whether it's a story about how you found someone using your search engine, or whether it's your visitors who post to your blog about who they found (or want to find) it's unique content.  That's key.  Use your blog to build a community of users around your free people search engine - and watch your SERPS soar!

For those who recognize its value, the sky is the limit with this new feature.  So see you at tomorrow's Webinar!

I'm so excited about how APS continues to grow and improve!  Thanks to everyone for their continued support and feedback!

Tissa

P.S. If you can't make the Webinar, a recording will be available as always in your APS back office under 'Talk To Tissa', and I'm sure a video tutorial or two will soon be available at the Gator-Aid sub-forum wink.

Wow! Right on Tissa! Two awesome changes at once.

This will make it so much easier to market the program.

I answer questions. Never hesitate to ask me if you have one.

And THAT sir, is why
You Are DA Man!

Thanks for what you do.  You could have build APS and ridden it up with little effort, built an insulated forums so the leaders answer questions while you cruise in your Honda.
But you built it as a place for ALL - advocates, questioners, and critics - to come and meet.  And, you stay active and visible here.
But, best of all, you continue to listen, think, and grow APS beyond what it was even a few short months ago.
And for that, you have all our gratitude.

Probably not, as that would violate the TOS (as I understand it we are still only allowed to have one search engine in one place) but you could use KompoZer or another editor to make your site prettier, and use the new cut-and-paste code to in the new template.

You could also install a blog or CMS on your people search domain if it's hosted with Hostgator.

Re: No More "Poor" Quality Scores or Duplicate Content Penalties!

This feature is awesome. As someone who went through the "Google Slap" at the end of last year, as Tissa can attest, this is a blessing to those of us who want to promote the search engine. I know we tend to focus a lot on the business opportunity of ACME but don't neglect the core product which is the heart of ACME after all. I made most of my profits early on with the search engine and there is a lot of money to be made with it.

I just started working on getting my search engine moved over to Hostgator from GDI. I will keep my GDI account for the business opportunity and will set up another site there. But I had Hostgator already for another web site I developed earlier this year and for using Wordpress. My big issue was that my other web site was the primary domain. So I've had to work to move it to a sub domain and get my search engine set up as the primary. Everything is almost ready to go.

Definitely. I've always recommended that people get both because GDI has the business opportunity and Hostgator has the unlimited domain hosting with Wordpress support. So now that we will have the search function available to us from the search engine it's a good time to get Wordpress up and running and utilize that function.

Well said, Gary!  It's time to get back to basics!  We have an excellent core product here and if Tissa can add the social network search feature and then make a mobile application available this search engine is going to take flight!  lol

Plus the toolbar is going to rock!

Yup. No other business out there like ACME!

Just completed my migration to Hostgator. It was really painless and Hostgator Support is great. Now I need to figure out how to monetize my GDI web site.

I thought about reproducing the form before, but didn't want to even come close to breaking any rules.

This is a great feature.

Re: No More "Poor" Quality Scores or Duplicate Content Penalties!

Having multiple hosting (ip addresses) is actually good in Googles eyes. When too many sites come from the same IP which Hostgator, GDI, GVO only give you one to work with unless you purchase the higher packages, Google bots tend to ignore them if they all have similar content.

I will be getting Hostgator now, Im only an affiliate at this point, in order to have many IPs with my various websites/blogs. So when will we be blessed with #16 completion????

Inquiring minds want to know smile

Re: No More "Poor" Quality Scores or Duplicate Content Penalties!

Thanks Tissa for this wonderful code,

My problem was with my GDI domain, the reason behind that if I change that to hosgator than I have to change or that links which I use to promote for APS. And we can't host another domain in our APS back office.

Now this code with help like crazy and as Tissa said there will be no poor quality issue anymore. Tissa please explain bit more in terms of Google Quality score and how can we promote exactly through PPC with low cost per click both people search and APS Business it will be great webnair.

I have to watch the recorded webnair cause it will be too late for me to stay till 2 am in Uk

You guys are awesome...

Re: No More "Poor" Quality Scores or Duplicate Content Penalties!

I have a question about the cut and paste feature. If I cut and paste the code into my blog, and since it won't be updated manually by Tissa because of that, can I use the search engine feature on multiple websites, bolgs or otherwise, and hosted from different hosting companies like GVO?

My main website and blog is hosted with GVO and I have multiple domains that I could use the search engine on which is the reason for the question.

This is really cool. I had tried earlier with not much success and had earned little with the search engine.
See more opportunities with a custom search engine.
As usual, being a non-techie, will take me sometime to do the customization.

APS is really moving at jet speed these days! smile

Yes!  (And your search engine's database will still be updated automatically regardless of where the code is hosted!)
