Topic: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Yesterday I posted about how NOT to become a Super Sponsor, so today I guess I'll post about how to remain a Super Sponsor smile

As you know, the list of Super Sponsors will be updated during this Friday's TalkToTissa.com Webinar.  As I mentioned during Wednesday's Webinar, new Super Sponsors will be added, others will remain, and some will be dropped - which I really hate to do, quite honestly.  Makes me feel lousy.  I prefer to reward people than penalize them.

The thing is, Gary and I are in the process of reviewing everyone's posts in preparation for Friday, and it seems that some Super Sponsors may have lost sight of what being a Super Sponsor is all about: Helping others (especially newcomers) succeed with the Acme People Search program.  It's not fair to keep them as Super Sponsors, especially when other Super Sponsors (and aspiring Super Sponsors) are working harder to help others.

Don't get me wrong: I love that this is a community where all of us can hang out, joke around and have fun.  I don't want that to stop.  But take a look at your posts over the past 30 days: Did most of them contain original and relevant information that helped others succeed with their APS businesses?  Or were they mostly chit-chat with other Super Sponsors, or otherwise unrelated to APS?

As I've said before, there will NEVER be a limit on the maximum number of Super Sponsors.  But there will always be minimum standards for Super Sponsors.  Be careful not to become complacent.  Remember that the best way for you to succeed is by helping others succeed (the $133.85 is just icing on the cake).  If you're no longer focused on helping others, chances are you've lost sight of your own path to success as well.  Don't succumb to the distractions!  Staying focused in this business is one of the toughest things to do - but absolutely necessary if you want the financial freedom this business offers.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Well said. I posted something similar yesterday I think it was, about how you don't have to pay Super Sponsors, but that's your generous way of doing business.

Can I use that line as a Quote in my marketing efforts? That's a great quote.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Great post.

I think many should take notices as it really explains the attitude towards the goals.

Thank you Tissa for such a great forum and opportunity.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Yes, I agree 100%. We must never loose sight of the fact that when one is starting a new business, they will need all the help they can get.

We should never forget that most of us were in the same situation, navigating through the site like in a maze, until we could anderstand what needs to be done. The APS Forum is like an extended family, and we must stay focused on our comon goal: to succeed in business! Without a real genuine help, it is hard to do.

Because of the lack of immediate success, people gets descouraged, and we must lift them up, and motivate them, and give them the best advise possible.

And we the Super Sponsors, should never take for granted, the generosity of our leaders. Where else are you paid to help others by postingin the Forum?

When people feel like they are getting the help they need, they will come back with confidence, and the retention procentage will increase.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Dear All,

Tissa is really such a gr88 guy who is helping us giving freely 125$ freely at the begining when we join at first and still he is giving free offers by keeping " Super Sponsers" and "Super Affiliate Switch" , "Other Income Streams (say GDI , GVO etc..)" ....

Apart from all these, we are all learning from here..I myself truly speaking , I really dont have much knowledge regarding "Internet Marketing", but now I have really learned a lot from here (ofcourse , there is still more to learn to earn )....and now I made up my mind to become a Successful  Internet Marketer....Tissa is really  a pioneer for most of the newbies... Thnq so much Tissa for keeping such a beautiful system...

When Tissa is helping us financially as well as Making us to  Learn many things, there is really nothing wrong to help newbies by us atleast with a single post... We should never be selfish..When we share our knowledge, then only we get many things from others and we make more money ..."Knowledge MUST be Transferable "

This post is really worthful becoz atleast by seeing this post many SS come forward and try to help the newbies...Otherwise, some SS just sit quitely and watch the movie... tongue

Thanks,

Hi Tissa and Fourm,

I agree 100% with Tissa... I myself not sure if I had made the list this month... Have funds to cover my cost.. I am also steering away from post that looks like it will turn into an ulgy spat post.. I look at the Forum as an extended family world wide... A day without coming in here to make a post either helping a new member or asking questions for myself is tourture.. I get satisfaction in helping others..

Hey there Angela. I know I've said some very unsupersponsorish things to you in the past, and I am sorry for that. I have recognized this change, and have tried to see it as an example. I think you're doing a great job.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Nicely said. For many, not a good thing to hear but thats the only way of keeping the standards high.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Hey guys.

I have my doubts this month. We will have to see!

Good luck to all trying for SS this month smile

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

I also have my doubts, alas, however helpful I am, and the pm's I recieve tell me I am quite so. Only in my forum "ambassador of good will" capacity, and my true concern for all here and their sticking with it!!! However, I must state, that even with all those merits, and I do feel love from many, I have still not sufficiently amassed enough Technical skills to be able to be of help , I mean direct help, not the pdf kind, lol : to pass forward as yet. Many of my threads are not directly related to APS, just to the welfare and wellbeing of its forum members . So if I do get dropped, I will fully understand. I might not be able stay on in full capacity any longer with all the different additions, but I will always stay active here and hold this forum and its members dear to my heart, and continue to pass it forward in my own, very unique style. No emoticons used for this post. Surprise! No, that doesn't mean I will refrain from them in the future, they help me express friendliness , and I like them. Emoticons are me. Otherwise, to quote a comedian I saw last night; they'd better invent more fonts, expressive fonts, like sarcastica, hysterica, panicka, joviallis, etc.

Not in the mood
Blessings to all and good luck.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Thanks for being transparent and upfront about it, Tissa.   I have no doubt that you will choose the right people and that it's not based on any "secret requirement" smile

To My Dear Fellow SS,

If you are a continuing SS, you rock and keep up the good work!

If you didn't make it as SS this month, sorry, so please stay more focused next month!

To all new Super Sponsors, CONGRATS on a job well done!!!

The growth of this forum has been incredible.  As of this post, there are a total of 5873 registered users and 92 SS.  So, only 1.5% of users are Super Sponsors so there is definitely a need for more SS!

To all your success,
Milton

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Being a Super Sponsor Is all about helping others with their
APS business.

If you are not helping then why should Tissa give you the SS title?

I've not being doing enough this month as I have had other things
to contend with, if I lose the title of SS then it is for that reason alone
and I fully agree with it.

But I will be back here helping now I have sorted my other commitments! smile

Good luck to all current Super Sponsors and to all the contenders,

Tony smile

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

I have to say that I'm really impressed with everones honesty and accepting responsibility for ones actions. If I ever get the chance to be selected as a Super Sponsor I know that it will put me in a group of true professionals that really care about helping others and not just trying to cover their costs, although that's nice too.

Thank You for all the efforts all of you do to help those in need.

Dave

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Thats all is very true, Super Sponsors status isnt about how much post you make, its about how helpful are you with your posts. Be helpful to others and you will be noticed, and then continue to be helpful.
Its such an uplifting feeling when u know that u have helped someone, and it can give you the power and endurance to overcome every mountain peak u seek in a educational meaning. You gotta risk it to get the biscuit.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Keeping a Super Sponsor title is pretty simple: just do what you were doing to earn it in the first place. All you need to do is continue to help others succeed, which shows you deserve to be called a Super Sponsor.

It's not really that hard to have fun and socialize with the community here and still help lots of people. 30 Original and Helpful posts a month? Easy. In any given day, you might have that many people who need help in some way. Now obviously no one person is going to catch those all unless they monitor the forum 24-7... but that just means that there are plenty of opportunities to help since there are new people coming here all the time and lots of people have questions and problems. As the user base expands, there's more need to help and even with a growing number of Super Sponsors, there's plenty of opportunity to help others succeed.

The Super Sponsors in this forum do a great job, so here's to their continued efforts and the success of all APS members.

Angela,
Good for you!  I agree with what you have done in refraining from getting involved in certain threads.  Early on I stopped visiting the Scam posts with the intent of answering those having complaints.  I realized my best work to do in that thread would be to tailor my answer toward the people who are reading the post and now having their own doubts (instead of focussing my reply toward the original post creator)

Hi Tony.

I think too many have posted "well if you can't afford the program, try to become a super sponsor so that Tissa will pay."  $133 should not be the motivation for being a super sponsor, but many seem to believe that super sponsor is the crowning achievement around here, when in fact it is not.  The real achievement is when someone understands a concept or an approach or how to achieve something that they didn't understand until you replied.
So better advice would be - "if you can't afford the expenses of the program, then learn to earn using free methods.  And as you learn, share your knowledge with the forum and you are on the path to becoming a super sponsor."

What Tony has said here reflects the character that Tissa looks for in a super sponsor in the first place.  The fact is Tony, that you recognize that you had other more pressing commitments and you didn't hesitate to prioritize things.  In other words, you haven't 'lost sight' of your own efforts.  A number of super sponsors have 'broken' from posting at the forum for a period of time to attend to other business, and then returned, refreshed, and even more focused.  I am one of them.  How could we be of any use helping other forum members grow their business if we are out of touch with our own business?

Way to go, Tony!

Exactly.  So if you're dropped as a Super Sponsor, keep in mind that you can always become a Super Sponsor again once you've had a chance to re-focus and/or refresh!

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

I believe one of the biggest hurdles that we as internet marketers have to overcome is motivation. Sometimes we have days where we have no action or don't get the results we expect which can drag you down. Lack of motivation leads to disappointment. That's when many people give up.

When I talk to people and explain what I do they look at me like I'm crazy. Finding negative energy is easy. Coming here and talking to others helps keep up my motivation.  Knowing there are people out there who, just six months ago, were where I am and are now, and can now pay their bills helps me to keep going.

Even when I am so tired of trying... I keep going. There is nothing else to do. I keep telling myself, if I had started doing marketing like this 5 years ago when I tried it the first time, I would be in a completely different situation. i am now very interested in seeing where I am 5 years from now. Now that I had made such a strong commitment to changing my life.

I am glad to have an outlet like this and I hope to someday meet some of the other members here.

Well, to be honest, this is to be expected.  I was on disability for over a month and I was obscessed with the forum.  However, now that I'm back to full time work, I do find it difficult stay focus.  I can't tell you how glad I am that there are members here that seem to keep up.  I trust Tissa and Gary to do what they gotta do.
No matter what, this forum is the best.

Tissa I want to thank you for this great opportunity of becoming a Super Sponsor and then paying us back our fees.  This really helps me out because I have not yet been able to make much money.  In the mean time paying me back is a life saver!

This is so true about being a Super Sponsor and continuing to help others.  Helping our friends in the forum does help me stay focused on the ACME People Search business itself. The more I learn, the more I can help others.

Thanks Tissa

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

I try my best to help others, but I do probably not enough to remain as an Super Sponsor. And as I haven't yet succeeded to make an payment from the APS system(I'm so close!), therefore I probably don't deserve being an super sponsor.

If I'm dropped it will not be a shocked.

I tried to make a topic about SEO, but haven't had the time to make it complete, and since my real time job still is my main funding, I can afford to loose that job because of an topic or 30+ helpful post at APS and the super sponsor demands.

I wish all existing Super Sponsor good luck and all new up and coming super sponsor all the best.

If this week is my last as a super sponsor I will thank you Tissa for being a part of your community.

If I get dumped I will still as many others who are addicted to the forum, stick around still even if I'm not a Super Sponsor.

Re: How to REMAIN a Super Sponsor

Hi Tissa,

As I remember Mike O quoted before, "this forum is still in its infancy stage" and for sure rules will be enforced to maintain (if not further improve) the quality of this forum.  I guess everyone would be amenable to the decision that you and Gary will make.  We all know that everything would be for the best.

To my fellow SS, let's just keep up the quality of our responses and keep our focus to keep newbies informed and to continuously LEARN the new trends of internet marketing.
