UPDATE - December 7, 2009:

CONGRATULATIONS to Mary Payton, Chris Losenno and Brett Basinski!!!

It was an incredibly tough decision to make since so many Super Sponsors are so deserving.  But I have no doubt that Mary, Chris and Brett will do an awesome job attending the Affiliate Summit classes and sharing what they learn with all of you "back home".  They will be paying it forward for everyones benefit.

To all those Super Sponsors who weren't selected this time (and aspiring Super Sponsors): Thanks for all you do, and don't stop doing what you do!  Affiliate Summit East in August will be here before you know it - and next time I'm not limiting the all-expenses-paid trip to just three Super Sponsors!  (It's too hard!)

August 22, 2009:

I just booked three luxury suites here for three forum Super Sponsors who will be coming to Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas with me, Gary Chappelle (Affiliate Manager) and Trish Hansen (Support Lead)!

All expenses will be paid: Airfare, hotel (Jan. 16 - Jan. 20), food, Platinum Passes to the Summit (includes all classes) plus $100/day to gamble away - or whatever!

Of course, anyone else who can make it is also welcome - Super Sponsor or not!  There are lots of inexpensive Vegas hotels and airfares available.  Mike Napoli and Mike Oyama: It would be awesome to see you guys again!  (By the way, here's what to say when you meet me for the first time wink)

Just like the last Summit in New York, this will be an incredible opportunity for learning, networking, promoting and all-around FUN - all at my expense!  My wife will also be there, and I can't wait to meet more Super Sponsors in-person!

Gary and I have yet to decide who the three Super Sponsors will be.  If you're currently a forum Super Sponsor, keep helping others succeed.  If you're working towards becoming a Super Sponsor, keep at it!  We're paying close attention to who "pays it forward" the most around here smile

I just searched Sidestep for round-trip air fares between airport code ULN (umm, that's Ulaanbaatar - MONGOLIA!) and LAS (that's Las Vegas) and they spat out $992.03.  In other words, there aren't many places in the world where it will cost more than $1,000 for the round-trip flight to Vegas.

So I'll cover up to $1,000 in airfare.  You're responsible for paying anything beyond the $1,000.  You're also responsible for any required documentation (passport, visas, blah blah, etc.)

Affiliate Summit East was just amazing. I'm now planning on attending the Seattle Wordcamp coming next month. It's hosted at the Adobe building in Fremont!! I've always wanted to check that place out, and learning all about Wordpress will be just awesome (and it's only $25!!). There are actually a TON of marketing events coming to Seattle in the next year, so I'm kind of excited about that too.

I am working on saving for January, and I'm really hoping I can see some HostGator commissions before that so I can bring the whole family to Vegas. I've been checking out travel costs, and it looks like it might actually be doable for us in Jan. We're kind of excited.

I'm working on selling my old crappy clunker so I can get a cheap refurbished netbook. That will increase my productivity 1000%.

I would love to win a trip especially when it is on your wedding anniversey week.. I will be married 5 yrs in Jan.. Hint, hint..Can I be a winner... Wow, Tissa, this is just fantastic when you opened it up to all the existing Super Sponsors and new ones to come by Jan. to jumpstart 2010!  I'm continually amazed with all the good that you're doing everyday to inspire these forums.  By Jan., we maybe able to celebrate the $1M affiliate payout goal as well.

I'm in on the challenge based on whatever criteria Gary and you put forth on this.  Hopefully, it's something that anyone could do so every affiliate could get excited about smile

I have just started advertising........today! My head is reeling from everything I had my hand in. It is due to you, Tissa, for you enabled me to spend a little on advertising. Like MikeO said: "Tissa didn't say that."  You can live anywhere on this great globe.  If you deserve this trip, if you earn it, you will be there.  If you would really like to do that (Vegas is toyland compared to NY... plus $100 a day; yowza), why not make it your goal.  And, if you don't make it this time, why not the next.

You were the first person to comment on Tissa's offer.  That takes courage.  Just take that same courage and confidence to the next level and continue to help people here.  You are already a Super Sponsor.  Why not start helping people become Super Sponsors?  Tell them how to do it.

Tell them they do not have to be an expert in any particular area to offer advice and assistance; and to help others overcome obstacles. Tissa says it best and I'll paraphrase it; "... it more about attitude than it is about apptitude." 

Tell them to pass forward their positive comments to those experiencing problems. Tell them how to become a Super Sponsor (get all their operating costs paid by Tissa) and keep moving forward helping others.  Provide your guidance! You have a lot to offer.
