There is no simple answer and these are the factors that can have influenced on your article marketing:
1. How competitive is your targeted keywords?
2. What is the search demand for your keywords?
3. What is the PageRank of the public Article Directories?
4. How attractive is your headline?
4. If your article is having a inbound link back to your website, what is your PageRank?

My post here just illustrates my personal experience.

I have done just 1 article and from it I submit to ezArticleLink Link Building and Article Syndication Program.
