Topic: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

For some reason I feel like I need to write this post.  I've been apart of this system for 18 hours now...I took 4 hours to sleep and have been at it the rest of the time.

I am determined to be a success with this business!  I thought if I wrote my thoughts, questions, etc down for the next 30 days it might help others who join to understand that they are not alone in how they feel at first in this business.

I am a mom with 6 kids.  I have my college degree in Education but do not want to go to work and leave my children.  I also feel like there is more for me and I think this is it!

When I do become a success and can provide for my family while they sit on my lap at the computer...I hope to motivate and inspire others who may have days where giving up seems like the best thing to do!

Day 1 (First 3 hours)

I found this business by looking further into the GDI business.  I spent several hours in the wee morning hours reading capture pages and reviews of Tissa's ACME business.  I was so excited I couldn't stand it.  I felt hopeful that this could be the answer I was looking for.  The tools, support, and training were all here...PLUS a whole lot more!  All the incentives Tissa offered helped me decide that I had nothing to lose and possibly a whole lot to gain...so I signed up!  Yes, I did all 3 steps...if I was going to do this right I needed to build my business to the best it could be.

Day 1 Continued:
Pages and pages of things I don't understand.  I have faith and just do what my back office tells me to.  I view the video and tutorials, I go to the forum and search for topics I'm trying to figure out, I don't know what to do next, I keep searching and learning.  I sign up for all the affiliates I can.  I set goals.

1.  I want to be a super sponsor by day 60.
2.  I want to have my super affiliate switch flipped by day 30.
3.  I want to learn how to M.A.P. and make my first dollar by day 30.
4.  I want to have a good attitude and do my best to learn all I can.

My head hurts and my eyes keep going blurry but as I read posts of others who didn't give up and kept at it...it inspires me to continue on.

Tonight:  I'll just keep clicking and reading about my business...I'll learn all I can as fast as I can...then I can help others.

Welcome to Acme-People Search

Nice post.
We are here to help.
I follow your progress.

Re: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

Misty,

It's clear you like to write so why not start a WordPress blog?  Write about your experiences with APS then monitize it with your links.  There are a lot of really great posts here on the forum.  You can start over at the hostgator subforum and read through all of the great material Chris has gathered.  A WordPress blog is very SEO friendly and you can send traffic to it from all different sources, including ppc.

In the meantime I'll be linking your posts to my blog, because you're going to have a great story to tell.

Re: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

Momof6, Welcome to the forum and great plan by the way.

Re: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

Hi Misty,

You seemed very organized in your approach.  I have three reminders for you:

1.  Prioritize.  Try to jot down all your plans then set them in order of priority.  Then get back to the forum topic for each task you have and do them one by one.  Do not read all at one time.  You'll get a serious headache big_smile .  Just browse topics and jot down what you think interests you.  Then do them one-by-one.  Make sure you finish one at a time.  Do not start all and you'll end up confused with nothing finished.

2.  Focus.  Do not lose focus on what you do.  So after you prioritize, make sure you complete what's on your list one at a time.  Stay focused.  During your marketing campaign, you will encounter a lot of offers from other programs.  Stay away for now.  Focus on APS.  This is my major blunder which cost me 2 months of APS marketing lull.  Focus and make sure you finish everything on your list for APS.

3.  Record Results.  You have to gauge every campaign you had and see if there were favorable results.  Drop campaigns that seems to be costing you time without any good feedback.  Focus on the ones with good results then continue reading on the forum for more marketing campaigns or to improve your existing campaigns.

You are already organized.  Now you have to systematize your approach.  Nice work on your diary.

Hi Misty,

Welcome to the forum and APS.

I agree 100% with what Tim says above, your posts here (not anyone else's) will make excellent content for your own blog.

Tim says Wordpress but if you are just starting then  Blooger is easier to start with.

Hiya Misty,

welcome to the forum, I'm so glad you made your way here. As your sponsor I'm happy to help you as much as I can, but obviously the many minds combined here much are greater that my little mind, lol.

As I said, your enthusiasm is awesome and you've got a great plan, but there is a learning curve involved, and tons of info here, so do take your time and try not to get overwhelmed.

Please forgive me if there is a delay in my responses. My biggest challenge at the moment is finding computer time until I can get a new machine. Thank goodness we've got this awesome forum, with so many people willing to help.

All the best,
Arun

Re: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

You have a great attitude and I wish you the best! I have been working on this for a couple months now. I continue  to learn every day. I haven't earned anything yet but I have faith that, eventually, I will. Like you, I see ahead and do not want to throw this opportunity away. It's all just a matter of learning how to work this system. Like I said in the past. It is doable. A person just needs to strick with it.  I am having an issue right now when it comes to promoting products. I'v been submitting clickbank products on the submit for free websites and some of them say: please paste our link onto your site. I would like to do that as it would help them too but I just can't figure out how to recipicate. I guess I need to blog because otherwise I have no where to put links that other people ask me to put on my pages. I'm quit confused about how to work this business. I am not getting any traffic yet. I'm not giving up yet! Again; good luck to you. I'm sure you will do great. Let us know ! I'd be interested in your success.

Day 2
What a great community I have here in the forum!  I've had so much support and encouragement in just 1 day!  Tissa has already earned me my $125 and I've begun learning like crazy so I can earn more for myself!  I REALLY appreciate being able to find any answers I need here in the forum.  OHHH!  I flipped my switch last night!  Happy Sunday!

Re: My First 30 Days---Diary of a Future Success Story!

Hi Misty!

Welcome to the forum!

Your attitude is beaming with hope, resilience and positivity! We should have more people like you posting here until it becomes contagious and gets people revved up to take action and build their business.

What are your kids' ages?  Mine are toddlers at 3.5 and 1.5 years of age and both are boys. They are definitely rambunctious.

You mentioned something about letting them sit at your lap while you are working at the computer.  Unless you meant this as a figure of speech, I seriously wouldn't recommend it. I tried it and it was disastrous.  They take over the mouse and keyboard......etc...:
I agree with the posts above, but it will be in your best interest to distinguish and separate family time with business/work time most especially when you are building it from home.

Now is the best time to set limits because you will be needing focus and concentration when undertaking your tasks especially during the "learning" and "applying what you learn" stage. I will try to organize more specific steps applicable for moms and will post them here.

We moms, are capable of much productivity than we realize:)

I wish you success:)

Hi Eden!

I have 1 girl (she is the oldest) and 5 boys!  Ages are 11, 9, 6, 4, 2, and 10 months!  I love being a mom!  They are so fun!

I love you advice you gave me about seperating work from family.  That is something I needed to hear.  I've been staying up after the kids go to bed until early morning hours and I find, even though I'm tired the next day, that I learn more when I'm not interrupted every few minutes!

I look forward to reading your next post about "mommy strategies"!
