did you get into your hostgator? If you did Click submit form for the host gator site studio and that is all I have to say everything else from there on is SIMPLE.
If you are still lost on your hostgator PM me and I will get you going.. only thing I cant do it anything with yor pass like you were having trouble with earlier.

Hostgator is a great web hosting provider. Since you have hostgator, you should really use it to its full potential

For site building> log in to your Hostgator Cpanel> find a header called "website builder" you can choose site builder or site studio. Both you do not need to  have experience on website building.

Also since you have hostgator May I suggest a wordpress blog?

A wordpress blog is simply one of the best. There is so many easy to use plugins to powerup your blog. Above all its your blog and you have control over it.

OK since you have a Hostgator baby plan account.

Cpanel is fairly simple to use with alot of functions. But for your this post lets focus on how to create a wordpress blog

What you would like to write is simply up to you. Wordpress blogs can be cuztomized to look like proper websites so its entirely up to you. My suggestion is to look at all the forum members here, their blogs and see what suits you most !

Infact you can do it through your email also .

Write your content in your email compose box and send it to blooger ID.

On dash board there is symbol of a mail envolope , after cliking there you should enter your ' secreteWord" and save , you should copy that complete adress and when ever you want to write some thing on your blog just send that content to this adress it will appear as

"yourblogname.secreteWord@blogger.com"

There is a option over layout , to add a gadget butten , where you can choose to add HTML code ,
Now you can paste any HTML code there and try ur self.
