Topic: What Do I Do With 'Leads?'
This thread is mainly for 'newbies' in ACME or an online business in general because I know that most of us here know what to do with a lead!
but hopefully maybe something I write here can and will help everyone in the APS community.
Everyone running an online business is aware that without leads you are accustomed to failure. To those who are new however, leads are basically people who are interested in your business opportunity. You’ll know this because they may ask you about it or enter their contact details in one of your capture pages or even reply to an ad therefore they can be seen as being potential customers. Additionally, every lead is different, some may not succeed whereas others may be really successful but either way, make sure you stay in contact with them especially if they join your business and become a part of your team.
Why are leads important?
Without leads, the chances of you succeeding are near impossible. This is because you won't be getting any customers which means your business won't grow and as a result, you won't be making any money! That is why it is vital that you contact the lead (potential customer) as soon as you can and start to build a relationship with them. Networking isn't just about making money guys; it's about making relationships with those who join you and then ensuring that you keep in regular contact. By doing this it shows that you are serious about your business and you care about the people who are a part of your team. This in return builds trust and that can go a long way.
So what do I do with a lead?
I have spoke to a few people who have told me their sponsor hasn't helped them out and doesn't keep in contact or anything! This is just the thing that leaves many new marketers feeling alone and maybe even confused and as a result, when they don't achieve success they tend to quit! YOU cannot afford this to happen because every lead is a potential money-making customer with a value of $1. With that said, I have created a list of the things that you should do and this can be seen below:
1) Contact them. However, do NOT begin to rant about your business or try to sell them something. It’s all in the approach guys and if you take the correct approach, they could end up becoming a proper customer and contributing to building your ACME business. Just briefly introduce yourself and welcome them making them feel comfortable.
2) Ask them if they have any questions about ACME or your business and whether you can help them or if you have any, offer them some advice about the business or the industry in general. Remember, do NOT sell them anything yet or give them a sales pitch! If they ask about the business then by all means tell them but give them time to think and then make a decision.
3) In relation to the two points above, if you follow what I have told you and take that approach, this shows your leads that you are in a position of power meaning you know what you’re talking about and you know how to offer help which could make them come to you because they trust you and at the end of the day this is what you really want. Why? Well because if any new opportunities arise and you need to build a team, they are more likely to join you and help you build both your business and a load of money.
In conclusion, leads are a crucial part of networking and running an online business. They are the difference between success and failure. If you help them out and keep in regular contact, this will not only build a relationship but also strengthen it. If you do not keep in contact or answer questions, then you could lose that lead or even customer which means you will be losing out on business growth and money. Creating and maintaining a relationship is the key to success.
