Re: Tracking Ids

I want to track when someone clicks on my splash page and puts in there email once they get to my direct referral link.

Re: Tracking Ids

At the very bottom of your "Referrals" area in your back office is a link that says "View Referral URLS and Create Tracking IDs." From that screen you can click "Create Tracking IDs and follow the instructions - basically, you just type in whatever you want for an ID (best to use something descriptive, so for example "TESplash1," "TESplash2," etc.).

There is no limit to the number of IDs you create, but there is a limit to the number of characters an ID can be - maximum 10.

That information will then show up on the "Referring URLs" page, in little tables underneath.

Is a splash page another name for a landing page/squeeze page?

When I see/use those terms, this is what I mean (or think the writer means):

Landing page - PPC campaign destination; used to ensure a good quality score. Sometimes it contains a squeeze.
Splash page - Simple (usually browser window-sized) information page used in traffic exchange or other "quick look" situations - basically a big herking banner.
Squeeze page - Usually simple page that offers free information in exchange for an email address.
