Topic: Branding My Search Engine

When I originally copleted step 2 a couple of weeks ago, I used the only domian I had (Pearland.ws). But after studying learning, I since realized that I want to brand my people search engine with a name that is easy to remember and relates to the function of the site.

Therefore, last night, I deleted my original GDI Hosted domain (Pearland.ws) from step 2. Then I repeated step 2, and re-entered a new GDI hosted domain with a more appropriate name: friendfreefinder.com.

But for some reason, when I try to go to the site, it does not display my ACME People Search site. Intead, my new friendfreefinder domain directs traffic to one of the GDI promotional videos instead. How can I get my new domain name to link to my people finder site?

Thank You,
Mike Schaefer

Hi Mike,

Have you checked that the new domain is set to basic hosting in GDI?

Also sometimes the changes are delayed.

Thanks Kirsten. The changes were delayed. The new domain works.

Do I need to re-apply for google adsense? My Google links are gone now that I changed the domain / name

Thanks

No you only need one adsense account and if your Adsense details are entered under enter affiliate ID`s the Google ads should show on your people search engine. Notice that they only show on the result page not on the front page of your search engine.
