Topic: Creating a Hostgator account after setting up GDI

Hi Guys,

This is my first post, so hello everyone!

I've looked around the forum quite a bit so far and everyone seems really nice and super helpful, so I'm glad to join all you guys and the ACME people search program.

Obviously, having just started up, i'm eager to get going and also have lot's of questions too!

Anyway, back to my point!!!

I have set up my domain using GDI, but i am also interesting in setting up hosting through Hostgator. Having looked through the forum, this seems to be recommended and for my purposes i think this will be best. However, having set up GDI, i can't find the link to Hostgator in my back office so that my referrer will benefit from my sign up. It's probably me just being stupid, but there's so much to try and take in when you're just starting out. Obviously, I want them to get credit, that's the point in this business right? So can anyeone point me in the right direction of what to do next?

Also, along the same lines, i have seen all the Hostgator coupon codes. Obviously, just starting up i'm trying to keep costs down, so these are great, the first month for 1 dollar, perfect. My question is about domain registration. Is there any way to get discount on this too?

Many Thanks

Tom

Re: Creating a Hostgator account after setting up GDI

HI Tom,

Welcome to the Forum!

Perhaps your sponsor has opted to put GDI only or A GDI forced matrix. If that;s a case, it would breally be challenge to find that link...and no one here is considered stupid , so ask whatever you'd like to ask.

I would recommend you PM Trish or your sponsor to get their Hostgator link.  And yes, that's nice to you to want to have your sponsor credited for the HGator account you will be opening.

You can get discounts fro domain name purchases with 1and1 or GoDaddy and Namecheap, then just point the nameservers to your hosting account.  But thenm I suppose you know that already wink.

Wish you success here!

Hi Eden,

Thanks for your reply. My sponsor wasn't opted out as I remember seeing it before, but it's ok, I emailed him directly and got his link.

Thanks for your advice about Go Daddy too. I now have my new domain and super cheap smile

Cheers

Tom

I'm glad to hear that. Congrats on getting this started/up and running after a short period of time! Now it's the time to start taking advantage of that domain and get some good content published. Are you going to use it for a blog?

I wish you all the best with your APS business my friend! smile

Kind regards
Saqib Khan
