Topic: How to keep more of your GVO Referrals as Active Titanium Members

Hello Everyone,

I had a conversation with a very prominent member of this forum earlier this week and we were discussing GVO.  They were telling me that they have not had any success with GVO and were having difficulty making money and were considering dropping GVO.

Now, this shocked me as GVO has been doing quite well for me so far (not to toot my own horn) and I was a little surprised.  When GVO first announced the pay structure, my initial thought was this, "I need to qualify to get paid on the full matrix by referring 4 people directly myself as soon as possible, and then as my downline grows, I am going to have guaranteed income because I will get $2.24 for every person in my downline whether I referred them or not."

I haven't even touched on the other bonuses I could be eligible for.  Now our conversation then turned to, "how are you getting people to pony up the $45 a month after the 14 day trial?"

Well, here is how I have done it so far.  I simply get my new referrals using the GVO tools so they realize, they have to keep GVO to be successful with their online business. 

I AM SO CONVINCED THAT GVO IS THE BEST VALUE FOR INTERNET MARKETERS, I FEEL GVO IS A MANDATORY SERVICE!!!! (sorry for the caps there).

*When you get a new referral to GVO you need to take action right away. 
*You need to get your new referral to install their first website on their GVO hosting account.  *That first website it going to be used to promote the APS business opportunity
*That website needs to be a Wordpress blog
*That new Wordpress installed on their domain name can be installed and up and running in less than 10 minutes using the Fantastico script installer in Cpanel
*Then you need to show them how to start adding content to their blog
*Then you need to show them how to set up an autoresponder campaign using the GVO eResponder
*Then show them how to add the Lead Capture form to their blog
*Then show them how to make and upload a video using the Easy Video Producer
*Then show them how to add those videos to their blog for even more content
*Then help them generate traffic to their new Acme People Search wordpress blog by using all of the FREE methods talked about here on this forum

You can get all of this done within the first 2-3 days. 

Once your new GVO affiliate has their own website, they have added content, they have their own videos and are generating leads, HOW CAN THEY POSSIBLY LEAVE GVO!!!

My point is, don't focus on the income with GVO, FOCUS ON THE PRODUCTS.  They are excellent tools and they are getting even better.

I would be case in point for Brett as he has helped me with all of those things and I am sticking with GVO. My referrals are dropping off, but I have only tried this technique with one so far,but excited for my new referrals, because Brett has laid out a plan to help retain them  and help them at same time. Makes perfect sense. cool

I have had GVO for almost a year now and I am 100% pleased with the "business" side of it alone, I have yet to bring this into the "income generating" mode but now with APS's excellent business structure getting the referrals is a no brainer.

...I didn't say I was going to quit GVO, I'm just putting it off for a while to focus on a couple of other things. wink

I did send an e-mail to my downline yesterday with your words of wisdom and will continue to hammer these points home.

Brett this is some great advice. The hosting and tools should be the primary reason for people to join GVO.  Every day my downline drops by a few but I know it's the people who joined thinking they could get rich quick and now don't want to make the effort or take the time to help grow the downlines. The Recruiter suite in GVO even comes with a couple of email letters that we can send out to our imports but I won't use them as they make claims that I'm getting massive spillover and it will go to them. This is not the way to portray GVO, the hosting and tools are the key here for any serious marketer. There are still people out there sending out emails on list builders using the "get my massive spillover" line and that's not how they're going to grow their downlines at all. The people who join on this premise will soon see that the massive spillover is now gone and the realization will hit them that if they want to earn with GVO they will have to do some recruiting to get paid. The best thing any GVO member can do is learn first how to use the tools yourself so that you can help your direct referrals when they join and have questions. GVO has even added a video tutorial beside each tool link now making it easy for anybody to learn how to use these great marketing tools. Thanks Brett for addressing this as I think there are members out there who need to know that touting the income is not the way to go, but instead the focus should be on the tools. smile

Everybody seems to be talking about promoting the tools and not the income.  That's awesome!  I would take that one step deeper. 

Promote the benefit first!  Then, the tools!

In this case the benefit is "this is really something that any REAL Internet marketer needs to build their business."  Re-phrase it to meet your particular needs. The bottom line is in "the benefit" to 'them.'  Another example: "If you want to succeed in Internet/affiliate marketing, you must have the tools necessary to ensure your success." 

Phrase it anyway you like, then tell them the three tools they absolutely have to have. This may seem obvious, but I think it's important enough to distinguish.  Otherwise, we might have people talking about the tools first without first establishing the benefit. The benefit should come first.

If you work with an auto-responder, this distinction can be made a lot more obvious.  In preceeding messages, you can tell them why they need a website.  In the next message, you can explain the importance of building a list.  In the next message, you can tell them how an auto-responder with a website capture form builds their list.  You have laid down the benefit in these three message.  Then, on the fourth message you can tell them how it all comes together with GVO.

Hey Brett i'm a new member and I have a question. Do you use more than one service to build your site or just one? I have started with GDI, and to be honest just starting this business I can't afford to pay for hosting from GDI,GVO, and hostgator. Should I pick just one, and if I do can I switch my acme people search to anyone I use.

Hi Adam, welcome to support forum smile
You can switch your people search engine to GDI or Hostgator only, GVO is not option for step 2
GVO is best for marketing tools such as Autoresponder , video producer, lead capture etc

Also you can import your APS referral to GVO eresponder pro

Hi Adam,

If you are not able to affort, that is not the problem. You can choose anyone either GDI or HG for branding your APS search engine. But if you are looking self hosted WP blog, than go for HG. Also it is always better to have both GDI and HG account. GDI is good for residual income and HG is good for excelent hosting.
