I don't think it is possible. I have a blog in blogspot and I don't think it will change anything to transfer it to GDI.

If you have Wordpress blog then this is possible.

But then you would have to contend with the issue that Google will no longer be supporting FTP by May 1 and that you would have to migrate.

Because of this, I wouldn't advice it. I would recommend you to go to use wordpress instead.

there is and option whether you want to transfer FTP or not when I check it.. dunno whether that option is reliable.. kikiki.. blogger allow us to use other domain and redirect visitor using old .blogspot.com domain to new custom domain added before.. posting like old way.. logging in to blogger and post.. just the blog domain is changed.. there is nothing to be afraid of.. well.. i think.. kikiki.. tongue

Re: blogger-GDI

About self-hosted blogger blog, I still am in the middle of actually migarting my blogger blog to a new URL as advised by Google since FTP will no longer be supported by them.  I have not yet resolved my issues comepletely as of this writing, and that is why I do not advise Blogger to be self-hosted then managed by FTP.  Better to start fresh with Wpress.

In last wednesday's GDI webinar, I actually posted these questions to VP Bart Dangerfield, and these were my questions.

"How do we create blogs in GDI? Does GDI support Wordpress?"
His answers were:

1.  Yes, you can create blogs in GDI.
2.  Yes, GDI supports Wordpress - but not to the extend that we'd like it to...

Then he moved to the next question. That's it.  That's pretty much all that he said about it.

Now, being relatively very new at Wordpress than most of you here, I coudn't make much of his answer.
It only created new questions for me.  How do I even install Wordpress on GDI when they don't have the cpanel?

Anyone here with ideas?

Re: blogger-GDI

hi ultrakill,

You can also redirect your GDI domain to your blogspot account. This way you can still continue with your blogger account. This is useful, especially your blogger is already has stablished readership and hate to start a new one. Go to your GDI back office click BUILD YOUR WEBSITE under MY DOMAINS click URL FORWARDING and type your blogspot URL then click UPDATE.

That's it. Hope this help.

here is the example

Hi Eden,

I am quite surprised by this, to my understanding and my limited basic Hosting knowlegde, GDI will not be able to support wordpress because its unable to create MYSQL database which is required for Wordpress to run.
But assuming it did have MYSQL, GDI currently only has 100MB  of webhosting space. the 100 MB is actually a lot and it will take a long time to even hit 100 MB for a Wordpress blog, but the problem arises when your blog does exceed that 100MB. GDI domain is good for websites with not much updates, not really for blogging In my honest opinion
