Topic: Help with Facebook Advertising

Hi, I am new to Internet Marketing.

I planned on displaying a few ads on facebook. Now, when I am trying to link my credit card to facebook account, in the page where you insert all your credit card details...my firefox browser is telling me that this page is partially secured and some information might be seen by anybody while the details are in transit.

Is there any reason to be afraid of? Or should I go ahead and link my credit card. What should I do?
Any help or advices would be very much appreciated.

To the success of APS and to our success!!

Re: Help with Facebook Advertising

Is it possible that you can use a virtual credit card?

I never use my "private" credit card online. This is to risky for me.
What does it say if you use Explorer?

Re: Help with Facebook Advertising

A virtual card is a online card. It is usually provided by your bank.
My works like this. I am by my self deciding how much money I want to ad to that card and when it should expired.
When I done that, I get a "virtual number" that I can use for every online service.

You should as your bank if they have something like that.

thankyou very much klauser.. this is indeed very helpful information. will ask my bank if they provide such a facility. I hope they do.
other than that, In facebook, credit card info submission page, my address bar is showing https:// , which means it is secured right?

As adpoint described above then, then I think it is ok. I have never thought about this as I am using my virtual card.

okk.. I think its firefox which got me confused.
when i use internet explorer to view the submission page, it asked, whether I want to view only the secured contents and I accepted, and it is still showing the form..
that means it is secured.. isnt it?

Yes, but you can double check once again if the website starts out with http(s) as opposed to http. the (s) stands for secured if I am correct.

Paypal has an online virtual credit card you can use as an add-on to mozilla or internet explorer. Though the Mozilla one I believe has a few bugs. I am not sure if this is available to you in India, you may want to check with an ACME member who lives in your country. It is called the Paypal plugin or helper, I cannot remember which. And it is available on the paypal website.

It also has a feature to create a secure card with only one use or any number of uses you specify 1 to ?!!
