Topic: I deleted my donain name and tried to change it but couldnt

I wanted to change my domain name so i deleted the one that i have created with GDI and tried to follow the instructions on the second step however i was prompted not to use the same email address that I have supplied on my first domain name as its a viloation of the affiliate agreement? but when i tried to log in on my account that i have created initially I was again prompted to copntact the customer service of GDI? Please help

MIAF,

      You mean, you have created or registered another domain name with GDI and wanted to change the one registered in your APS back office? Because, this should be the process when you want to change your domain name, you have to register another domain name first at GDI, you can cancel the first one if you want to. Then create an email address with that new domain name, then that's the time you will change/edit the registered domain name in your APS back office.

HI Miaf,

If U wanna use the new domain name in step2, delete the old domain , create a new email Id for the new domain U have created and use the new Domain, new email ID for step2..  Now U shudnt get any error message..

If U still have any problems, better contact Trish as she is the only lady who can help U out...

Hello. SO you canceled your previous domain from GDI and purchased another one? Or you tried to create another GDI account (this is against the terms of use/affiliate program).

If you tried to create another GDI account, I'd suggest you to use your current account to purchase another domain and then send GDI an email telling then you want to cancel your old domain. Don't forget to enter the old domain name. They will be able to do this rather quickly.

If my instructions weren't enough to solve your problem, please post the errors you encountered.

You can not create another GDI account, but can register another domain in your existing GDI account and cancel the old one after. If you still have difficulty, send me a PM smile

Be sure to select Basic Hosting for the new GDI domain.
