Does anybody know the next best place to go and how do they compare?

I have actually refrained from even using my adwords account for APS because of the "google ban" issues.

Sorry to hear this news sad

It's the way it goes i suppose.

However, i want to move on and want to know what others recommend here. Yahoo maybe?

Maybe a combination of other engines. Would love to know whats working for you guys outside of adwords.

Hi James

I guess it would be better to go ahead with Yahoo and Bing if not Google... Google was very risky and if it works well we are very lucky....  Even I havent yet started on Adwords avertising, but hoping to get start ater some few days.... and moreover I guess there were many people who got success with Yahoo and Bing....

As u asked outside of adwords, there were many people working on "Article Writing"..

Re: Adwords have now decided my account should be suspended

Hi Harishwar,

I am looking into yahoo and bing now!

Be warned people. I thought I was safe as they have been fine for ages with my account. Everybody who is still up and running be sure to double double check your campaigne with googles terms.

I have been using adwords for a while and thought i was going by the rules. I didn't get any warning and not a chance to amend any issues, worse still, they wouldn't even tell me what was wrong they just told me to stop contacting them. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal when in fact I thought I was playing by the rules. They also said i would never advertise with them ever again. WOW! somebody is on a power trip at Google! smile

They are actually rude about it and couldn't see that I wanted to use them longterm and would not deliberately brake the rules.

I still have pending payment on the account. It makes me feel sick that they will be taking that in 20 odd days. mad

Am working around it right now though. One of marketings little speed bumps smile

Have a great day all smile

My account was suspended 2 months back and I had $500 to be billed. I have valid credit card filed at adword account but they dont bother to take the money. I think once account is suspended they will not bill you.

James I think it may have been during your absence at the forum during Google's Mass Ban on affiliate marketers.  Tissa gave a webinar on Dec. 4th, that you can view by clicking on the Talk to Tissa link in your APS back office, where he explains some methods that we can use to overcome this. Many have suffered because of Google, but there's no need to let their actions defeat you.

Hi Linda

I was angry at the time because how they were treating me but like i said, it's just a speed bump smile

I'm not sure if it will work out for Google long term. They are very ruthless about it.

I think I missed a lot while I was not about at the forum, unfortunately, it's really time consuming catching up.

I'm playing with Yahoo at the moment. How strict are they? Is it as bad as Google? hmm

Good to start catching up with all you guys. smile

James Yahoo is so much easier to deal with than Google.  I think you should give them a try and forget Google.  I know you've been dealing with your Mom's illness.  I would recommend trying to watch Tissa's webinars that were held during your time of absence. This should be a big help in just getting updated on many of the Acme changes.

Hi James

I read a while ago when Google first started banning people that they wanted to give their customers a better experience by filtering out the spam and providing better quality advertising.

Whether all this is true I do not know? But it sort of makes sense when you think about it.

I presume my Google account is still active and I shall be using my own Domain in any future adwords campaigns which is a much safer bet smile

Hey there James, Sorry to hear you're the latest casualty of Google's twisted and bizarre rampage against the very affiliates who made them what they are. They've got some serious karma coming, IMHO, I only hope I'm still around to share the glee when the Day of Reckoning rolls around.

Chris L and Gary were part of the first wave of Google's ban rampage in early December. Maybe they'd be willing to share how they've revamped their ad & promo strategy since, either here or in PMs. I'm curious to know if those who have been banned have tried to create a new identity in Google and use the content network to keep out of Google's line of fire. Is it do-able?

Here's an ebook about using the ASDAQ content network that I found interesting. I'll be talking to an ASDAQ rep tomorrow. I'll check back into this thread if there's anything significant to relay.

You may also find this thread helpful, a recap of a Perry Marshall teleseminar I plugged into a month ago:

http://acme-people-search-forum.com/top … nt-google/

Hope some of this helps, at least in reassuring you that Google is not the be-all and end-all for PPC advertising. Good luck, James.

Sounds good to me smile

Good to hear from you Don.

My partner has an account with google but I'm to scared to use the bloody thing now. In fact I don't even want to pay them anything either.

There is more to PPC than google, it's just a kick in the N**S when something is working for you and then gets taken away. This was my new start after my time off and I was second on the GDI board with ten signups and this was only Tuesday. I was looking at min 5-7 signups a day.

Oh well, onwards and upwards.

You all have a great day smile

James! Great to see you!

Sorry to hear about your Adwords account. I had the good fortune of starting with Bing, and it was a great experience. There are so many Google horror stories, that I'm definitely glad to have the alternatives.

Re: Adwords have now decided my account should be suspended

I was in a situation where Google lowered the boom on me. I owe Google $417.60 and when I couldn't pay they came along and suspended my account. It is available for looking at, but the past is the past. I am the point where a few hundred dollars will get me to Yahoo and start up of my account. I had the same situation but I found that Yahoo would do the same as Google.  The only way you can do this is if you not open an account with Google. Or if you are devious you can open up another Google account but make it a prepaid account. This way you can preposition funds you need on Google.

BY the way: My balance on my account was written off although my Google Account was still closed.

Even if you are using your own domain, Google would still ban it if it (or the powers be at Google) thinks the site is not worthy.
I have an active adwords account but have slowed down and started concentrating on SEO.
In the long term, SEO, article marketing, e-mail marketing ........ are the way to go.
I don't have the time to implement all of them, just concentrating on SEO right now.
Signups have slowed down since I slowed down my adwords but on the other hand SEO is slowly compensating for that.

If you owed them that much money and couldn't pay I don't see why they wouldn't suspend your account. And creditors who can't ever expect to receive payment usually do write it off as a bad debt. If you couldn't pay your bill why did you let it get so high? This is why it's crucial to set a daily limit that you can afford and carefully monitor what you've already spent. When you set a daily budget at Google then they stop showing the ads when you've reached that limit. And when I set up my account I was able to choose a monthly cap for the maximum they could charge me. This is not having to be devious and set up a prepaid account, it's knowing in advance what you can afford to spend daily/monthly and setting up your account with these choices. Let's hope you do better with your Yahoo account.

Re: Adwords have now decided my account should be suspended

James,

U ain't nuttin if u ain't a Google speed bump!  I just love that analogy to your experience.  I was also banned last Fall, but I can attribute that to promoting single page landing pages, like our old "people search" page earlier in my IM career.  I didn't know better.

I've made all the necessary corrections. I've built a content website (I don't know if it meets their maturity clause, but I don't care...I'm not that mature anyway), I've put no-follows on my pages with affiliate links, and I continuously ad content to my site(s), and SEO my pages with title tags, descriptions, keywords, alt text, and everything else that that monoply company demands.  They even banned my Adsense account and pocketed my commission saying that "they would be redistributed to advertisers.'' Yeah, right!

But, I'll still make another poke at them sometime in the future.  It's the challenge I like. Even though they banned me, I received a $100 coupon last week to advertise with them.  I have four kids and a wife, so my options are still wide open.

But, the irony in this is "who cares."  I agree, they've burned the people that got them to where they are, for the most part.  But, we can still dominate organic search if we practice the right techniques.  And, that's free traffic.  So, why pay when you can it free.  Please don't read too much into that statement.  cool

All the Best,

Rick

Re: Adwords have now decided my account should be suspended

Hi , here is what you must do.
1. Buy a new computer
2. do not download anything from google, ie. google toolbar-they canspy on you
3. change your domain name
4. use your sister, mothers, wife, brother, etc. id
5. do not use your own credit card
Sounds difficult, but i have heard from a top marketer that this is the only thing to do.

What do you think went wrong?  Just for information, so I don't make any mistakes with goolge.  I have heard that a lot of people are getting slapped by them.  What is their reasons.

It is now only APS. Google bans every affiliate program. Google or out for original websites/blogs.

If you advertise your referral links then they are not original. Your links contend are exactly the same as mine.
That´s why the ban every unoriginal referral link.
So to promote this kind of biz, you must create site with original content that is not to much self promoting.

If anyone is using the TE's, please be aware of the restrictions Google has on Adsense and advertising on TE's as well.

Better fortune to the many ripped off by google parasitic monopolization! Greater opportunities elsewhere.  Mainly google is bombarted by assortment of diabolical rampaging duplicating clones of repetitive garbage data overloading google servers.  In the process of sifting through the data,  google permanently lost solid,  spirited, and reputable persons.   Now will permanently effect the google service reputation forever.

Re: Adwords have now decided my account should be suspended

Hello, I few months ago I accidentally open 2 accounts. Why a site gave me $ 85 to activate this bonus you need to open a new account. The main problem, I created 2 published identical in the 2 accounts. Well they did not want to know nothing of my apology. even after the closure of the account, 1 other is stuck with the $ 85 not used. Another problem I think with so many affiliates that sponsor the same link Google has decided to ban everyone. In fact I read that between September and October had closed 100,000 accounts. I do not understand this policy. As you have already told other members of the forum, you can use Yahoo and Bing! perhaps even more serious about PPC.If you still do not have 1 account on Yahoo, I'll try a link where you can receive $ 100 or $ 150 free but you must not be sign up.
I use it. with good ads, and a charge of $ 10 a day I can do about 70 clicks.
I apologize for my English, but not my primary language.
