Topic: Do I join CJ as an affiliate??

Do I join Commission Junction and plug in my APS id's there or which one should I use?
What are the steps there to join there? I have another question in a separate post.
Any info would be helpful.

Ok first go to your APS back office and click on "Add/Edit IDs" and scroll down to the headline that says "Enter Your Commission Junction Affiliate Links:" you will see a video here as well in which Tissa gives you detailed instructions of how you get your CJ link and where you put it.

Re: Do I join CJ as an affiliate??

Welcome aboard,

If I understand your question, you have to sign up as affiliate to Commission Junction using the link on your back office. Then you enter into your CJ account and follow the instructions on the video on your APS back office to generate the "US Search Social Network Search" referral link. This way you can earn commissions from US Social Network Search when people use their services on your search engine.

Hope this helps. If not, please clarify your question.

Hello. If you go to the Add/Edit IDs page, as suggested, from your members page, and scroll the page down until you find some information about Commission Junction, you will be able to view a little video tutorial teaching you how to join the program and create your affiliate links.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you have to join as a publisher (you are interested in promote other people's products and earn commissions) and not as an affiliate (someone who want to make links to his product available to other people promote and is willing to pay commissions to those promoters). But don't worry, everything is well explained in the video.

Hi Skylab

As the rest as mentioned there will be a video explaining exactly how you can do just that, just go in to your add/in ID

Important thing to note is that for Commission Junction, you do not input your affiliate ID in your back office but rather the HTML code which you will generate at commission junction. This is why you see on the Commission junction add ID you see a lengthy wide box.

The video by Tissa will cover registration and generating the HTML code

hope this helps smile

Re: Do I join CJ as an affiliate??

Can anyone help on this one?
I am still confused even after listening to CJ application video. The link in back office leads to a publisher sign up page. Is that the affiliate sign up page?

There on CJ step two, right after all the agreements they ask for all kinds of website info. what goes there?
Is it just me or did anyone else have this problem?

Hi, skylab

Yes, thats the correct link after you click Enter your Commission Junction link.

In the first box you can put in like Free People Searhes or My People Search Engine.
In the second box you must put in the web adress that you see under Your FREE People Search Engine. When you will have your own domain name, you will edit this later.

In the Category choose Online Services>Search Engine
In the Current Monthly Unique Visitors choose the first one.
Next you have some check boxes infront of you. Chose the none or the ones that you use.

After that you only have to provide your personal info

Hope this will help you through the CJ registration process

Hi,

You need to sign up with CJ as a publisher. You need to provide all information asked on the application page. If you have completed step 2, then you can provide your website url. But it is imperative that you provide all information on the CJ application because the more info you provide better the chances that your application is approved.

Regarding website info, if your website is new, then for traffic details select less than 500 or whatever it is.

It takes about 48-72 hours for your application to be processed. Till then you can't enter your CJ ID (MyLife) in the back office.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Re: Do I join CJ as an affiliate??

Hello. As I mentioned before, you have to join as a publisher. On the web page information step, enter the information of the page (or pages) you will use to promote your links. You can use the ACME people search page, your domain, a blogger blog or any other page you are currently administrating.

Once you are subscribed to Commission Junction, which is pretty much like acme, a platform of affiliate programs, you have to subscribe to the US Social Search affiliate program, as you can see in the instruction video. If you still need help, please post again.
