Hello guys, I came back with my Joomla text & video tutorial series! And this is Tutorial No 2, this tutorial about “How to find and upload & install a new Joomla template for your website”...ok let’s get into action!

How can I find free joomla templates?

You can find a lot of free templates for Joomla 1.5 in Internet!

By doing Google search and here I know some cool free Joomla templates websites, you can download templates to your local computer...!

How to install & upload templates?

Step 1: Log in to your Joomla administration area!

Step 2: Now Click “Extensions” tab and Click “Install/Uninstall”.

Step 3:  There is 3 different ways to upload & install templates   

We go with first one! (The first one is you can upload & install templates from your local computer (Which you already downloaded one from Internet)

Now let’s upload Template File from your desktop (your local computer)... Click “Browse” button to upload a template file from your desktop (your local computer)…and select which template file you want to upload to your Joomla web site! And click “Upload File & Install” (It may take few seconds)...  and Massage comes up and it shows “Install template Success”!

To see your uploaded & installed templates. Just follow up step 1and step 2! Then click “Templates” tab and in there you can see your uploaded & installed templates.

Step 4: To change Default templates. Just click “Extensions” tab and Click “Template Manager”. There you can select and change templates for your web site. And Tick the template, (which you want to set as a default templates for your website) and to change click “Default”… and You can see there the Star icon it moves to your changed template and Your template successfully changed! And To preview your changed template, just click “Preview” (You can see “Preview” tab upper right side of the admin page) and enjoy!!

How to uninstall templates?

To uninstall templates, just follow up step 1 & step 2 and Click “Templates” tab (the “Templates” tab nearby “Languages” tab) and tick which template you want to uninstall then click Uninstall…
